need starter #4!!!! in CT - SR20 Community Forum

Anyone have a starter for sale in CT? I need lucky number 4 for my 99g20. Let me know what you got people! I have a starter with a Bosch logo on it so if anyone has purchased a bosch one and it's still under warranty maybe we can work something out

if ya know what I mean!

I got the last one from Steve for $30 and a guy on G20.net is offering one to my door for $40. Can you come close to those prices? I'll also throw in a beer if you wanna lend a hand swapping it out

!

BTW I'll have cash in hand prior to the transaction unlike the alternator, which I hope you got back! Good thing I didn't swap it out because after a little bit of driving the alt that was in that car started working great!!

I just gotta back up a second and figure out if they are the same starters? I believe they are but I want to make sure. Let me know if you find that information out. Thanks

I am getting 50/50 results. Most people say they are the same but companies are listing different part numbers? I actually have a spare broken one that just came out of my p11. We can compare them side by side?

I will swap in this weekend! My car starts, just occasionally I get the single click! Let me know a price! You don't have to help I will get my girl to do all the work on top!

Driving to Bethany after work so can't stop down today. You going to be down the shop Sat morning or late Friday night? Hard for me to do anything or go anywhere during the week because I have my daughter.

BTW getting a bunch of people together at my house to celebrate St. Patty day saturday night. Your more then welcome to stop down and have a few drinks with us! We could make the exchange then?

That is my final answer.

I just know it cause I've been down this road before too. B15/P11 starters have same part numbers and now I'm using a starter from a B14 with no issues.
