Thanks for the input fellas. Thats why I was thinking. I am just slowly collecting parts so once I hit the track, everything should go according to plan. I wanna make sure my drivetrain will be good considering last time at the track I had both front wheel bearings go bad as well as the clutch slip from some nice burnouts in the waterbox. I wish it was April already so this snow would be gone and tracks would be open all the time!

I'm not sure if you posted or not, but what clutch are you using?

I have a crappy setup in there now. Back when I did the swap my buddy sold me a flywheel that should have been resurfaced and I ended up being impatient and threw it in as is. I then was running a jgy 6 puck sprung with jgy PP and the springs took a crap. Then the input shaft on the tranny had issues tearing up the inside splines on the center of the disc.

I'm currently running a low mileage B14 trans with an ACT 6 puck unsprung and JGY PP. I feel like the pressure plate is at fault considering it is older and has taken abuse in the past from 20+psi from an SC61. I just need a new friction disc for my Fidanza and will be going for an xtreme PP and 6 puck from ACT. The car is daily driven but I need a clutch that will take the abuse from the track/nitrous.

That's what I have, my 6 puck is sprung though. It's not THAT bad on the street, you just have to get used to it.

Yeah, I only drove my cousins car probably 2-3 times when he was running an xtreme PP. I have been using 6 pucks since my old black turbo classic. I love the ACT HD PP with unsprung 6 puck combo. Not sure if it will take the abuse from heating up the big slicks then hard shifts down the track.

Back in November on a 75 shot, I would slam the gears and the rpm's wouldn't even drop until I got off the throttle then eased back into it. Hence why I ran a ****ty 12.8@106. I'm hoping to see high 11's at least otherwise I won't be too happy. Mainly trying to have a nice friendly grudge match between my car on the bottle and my friends DC2 teggy with a K20/K26 all motor.

What do you guys think of this unit:

MSD Digital Programmable 6AL-2 - 6530

Looking for something to use as a timing retarder. Trying to get the best out of the car NA but when needed, I wanna be able to flick a few switches and have the car ready to spray like a champ. I have just been searching around and finding deals on these MSD products. I have heard good and bad so I figured i'd ask. I am on the home stretch for the last of my parts needed so trying to get the last of them so I can give my bank account a break.

The unit above seems to be like something I could definately use with its nitrous features as well as the over-rev protection and if I understand correctly, 2-step.

Hmmm, that seems like a nice piece Rocco. Any plans on selling it?

I didn't know about that. I'm not really familiar with the RT besides some of the basics a couple of my buddies told me with their units. I never seem to catch them in time when I see them for sale and I believe Calum is still very busy to send an ecu to him. I need to step up my game and start learning about all of the options the RT gives us!

Yeah I've talked to them on Honda-Tech before. They CLAIM a whole lot, and it could be true, I just don't like the way they slam on all the american companies who have been doing it for a LONG time.

I thought this thread died. Looks like there aren't many nitrous guys left, lol.

I'm collecting the last few bits but waiting on my tax return. Trying to be as patient as possible and make sure I have everything so the install is 100%. I miss spraying my old 75 shot. Oh well soon enough.

Forgot to add I got myself a FJO Mini. I hope I can figure out all of the wiring I am going to have to do between this progressive controller, msd crap, etc. God I can't wait till Spring.

What do you guys think about me bringing the car up like I do all motor? When at the track I was shifting close to if not right at 9,000rpm's. Think once I have this nitrous setup between the timing retard and some kind of over-rev protection I should be safe? I am planning have the nitrous activated between 3,500-8,500.

Lol, I absolutely hate electrical but once spring rolls around I will have to go through and repair the parts of my harness that were damaged due to the fire. While I'm in there I figure I can wire everything else up and try to keep it clean. How did you ramp the nitrous when spraying? I'm guessing 50% around 3,500-4000 and worked your way up to the full shot?
