Damn all the way from Nairobi? What is the weather like there?

I hope you enjoy your stay here and what kinda of car are you planning on swapping the SR20DET into?

Yup all the way from Nairobi! The weather is all good, right now we're headed towards our first cold season that starts about mid June to July, so it's rainy at times but apart from those few cold n rainy days the weather is great!
I'm putting the sr in a bmw e30. I know it's car cross breeding blasphemy but I'm still going to do it.

All blasphmey aside, that sounds like two complimentary components that should make a very fun ride. I hope you can find the info you need here. Most of the VE stuff would be beneficial to you since we are mostly the front-wheel drive crowd but a few have the RWD versions or have hybrids as well. Nothing wrong with something different, something cool, or something fun.

I'm hoping it'll be a hella fun car, I got the car not too long ago and it has rust damage that I'm taking care of first then do the mechanical repairs then the engine swap. I'm not too into snapping pics of the process as it takes time to do both the work and document it but I'll try get some shots soon and post them up

Sounds fun! Helped a friend build a late 80's 318 w/a built I-6 way back when...it could one-wheeler-peeler for days haha. Loved the pope on that thing too. I think an SR will be a great fit!

Yeah I think the sr will fit great too. My car is/was a 91 316i, super basic, no power windows, ultra boring weak engine, no lsd, but once I fit the engine, gearbox and the lsd I got today I'm sure it will be a whole new car

A DET swap in an E30 will be cool. I have experience with both. Let us know how it goes and ask for help when needed.
Pics?
