Hey everyone. I am a new member here. I own a gtir swapped nx2000. Shortly after I bought it it started pissing oil all over the place so it's been at a shop for about two months now. I'm anxiously waiting for a diagnostic of my car but in the mean time I've been browsing the forum to learn as much as I can. I do have a question right off the back, if my engine is toast I think I want to go with a vet because they are actually a little cheaper than gtirs. Would the install be the exact same as a regular ve swap? I haven't seen much info on vet swaps. Also would I need an msd window switch or would a refresh from jwt take care of that? Thanks for looking guys, hopefully I can get some good feedback. This is my second nx and the last time i owned one the ve swap was just coming to fruition.

Hello and welcome. Have any photos you care to post? That usually drums up a lot of interest/traffic.

Thanks for the reply. I have some pics of the car before it got towed off. I'm not mechanically inclined so I sent it to a mechanic. It's nothing special just a run of the mill nx.

Hell all sr20 Nissans are something special. What is wrong with the current DE engine in your car now?

Don't get me wrong. It's a great driver, but being from Minnesota it's got some rust. After blowing the engine on my 13 fusion I decided it would be cheaper and more economic to have a smaller older car as my fun car and leave the nice car as a daily. There is currently a gtir swap in it, it has a major oil leak coming from behind the motor. I was able to shut it off before the engine seized but i still don't know the extent of the damage, if any. I figure worst case scenario if it does need a new motor I might as well go with a vet since they are the same price as a gtir.
