tappet cover is leaking. common problem?

need to replace gasket but that was replace last year....

Not a common problem.
Make sure all surfaces are clean and dry before applying RTV.

RTV? not gasket? another gasket? cause the pre. owner had it resealed with a gasket or something I don't know. What is RTV, I've google it. But like your explanation then wikipedia.
