Pikes Peak - August 7th-9th
Is anybody interested in going? The original date was post poned because of all the wildfires, so I am doing everything I can to make it to the new date. Relevant dates are as follows,
Qualifying: August 7th-10th
Fan Fest: August 11th
Race Day: August 12th
I am only interested in going for a few days of qualifying, as I am mainly interested in going to get some good photos of the event. The Fan Fest was lackluster in years past, but a good filler if you plan on staying for the actual race. The race itself is grueling, last year we left the hotel at 1AM and didn't get back until 8PM. There is A LOT of waiting around as accidents occur and need to be cleared for the next racer, I expect this to happen more often this year as there are many new drivers and an entirely new course. So I am skipping the race this year.
Looking for some people to split a room in Colorado Springs for a few days, or even drive down with me if possible (its a LONG drive from WI).
