KC / MO meet on June 09 you crazy people - SR20 Community Forum

Whats up guys/gals (do we have any?)!

It has been beautiful outside and we haven't had a single meet together in a while. During this past winter 10 of us met one day and it was like 30 degrees!! So we should definitely be able to get more people this year.

This also acts as a good showcase to those who are planning to upgrade their cars or may have run into some snags. It allows us to exchange ideas, tricks and even learn of some local parts/sales.

I am thinking of meeting at Joe's crab shack on July 11th at 7pm since they like to have some action each time Gomba(Lucas) shows up. You'll know what I mean when we go there. There is an AMC theatre next to the shack and for serious go-karters, 40mph Sadlers go karting place is also down the street from here. This will allow you to plan your evening as you please

Joe's crab shack is located on 119th & Mur-len for those that may not know the place. Below is a Google maps link along with their website:

BTW, tab for the shack is on me. This will cover anything but alcohol drinks. Don't worry, I won't be selling any timeshare stuff

I am also open to other suggestions. I personally don't mind traveling either. I live 5 minutes away from 119th & mur-len.

I should be able to make it. The title of the thread says June 09, but the meet is June 27th. Ya, I'll have to bring my dancing shoes if going to the Shack.

lol, I wish! I did go on the autobahn/highway. Best we could do in the company car was 220kph. It was an Audio A6 2.7 Turbo Diesel. If it wasn't for the all the traffic to Frankfurt I think we could have hit 250kph!

I need to go look for some miscellaneous parts for my maxima. Looks like Ryan is planning for picknpulls in the morning. If timed, i'll tag along with him.

Josh and I from Lawrence will be at joes at 7pm. We're going to allied u-pick-it on 12th st in ks around 8:30 or 9:30 am. We will then be going to pick n pull on 435 and truman.

Just an update:

I'm sure everybody heard me bitch about my clutch. Well, this afternoon I installed the Prothane mounts and the chattering is gone! No more 3k rpm launches!

After Ryan's suggestion of using PB Blaster on the original turbo, I took off the oil line and shot some in there and spun the turbo slowly. Now the turbo will spin and for a little while after I let go AND no shaft play!

Anyways, I had a great time, see you all soon!
