Looking for Knowledgeable Pair of Hands
So I recently go into an accident resulting in the totaling of my 1998 200SX SE, but recently became the new owner of a 1995 200SX SE-R with a SR20DET swap. I was wondering if anyone knew a good person or shop around the Pittsburgh area I could take the car to or could even just come out and take a look at her, maybe help me with a few things. I'm new to boost so I wanted i'm actually hoping I can learn a few things also. Going from a GA16DE to a SR20DET seems like a bit of a difference lol and I just want to make sure she's running nice and proper....thanks!

Which brings me to the next point, if anyone in the area needs any parts i'm parting out the '98 to hopefully get some of the cash back I spend on the new ride. The trunk and back end is pretty much destoryed, front end has some bang ups but the interior and engine is still in perfect condition.

I'm from Pittsburgh, but sadly I don't know anything about boost. I am also new to the SR20's since I just picked up a 93 se-r a month ago. Anyways just curious what is wrong with the car that you're looking for a shop?

I just want someone to look it over (i bought it about a week ago) theres nothing really wrong with it, i just want someone knowledgeable to double check everythings in order. I do however want help putting some stuff back like the horn, wind shield wiper fluid stuff and the power steering since all that was removed. I have all the parts from my old wrecked 200sx I can don't wana mess anything up. Also see if there is anyway I can get the passenger side air bag put in from my old car to this one cause its missing from this one. Lastly, just someone to explain a little bit about the workings of the boost and how to use the usb cable for the Calum Real Time ECM., as well as eventually making my manual turn knob boost controller to and electronic one......in a nut shell lol

Ahh ok, well like I said before I don't know much about boost atm but would like to learn. I think your best bet would be to search/post in another part of the forum where there is a lot of activity. From what I have found out the regional sections don't get much traffic compared to the other sections. Also what part of Pittsburgh are you in? If it is close maybe I can lend a hand!!

I'm out East in Monroeville, if you want to bring yours out and need help i wouldnt mind helping you either, I'm putting my wind shield wiper assembly back in (mind was removed from previous owner) but i'll prob need help with the power steering if you know anything about that? I need a new wind shield wiper reservoir though, mind was shattered into pieces during the wreck of my old SE

I am just getting into the car game so I don't know much but trying to learn as fast as I can. I recommend buying the Haynes manual because it helps a lot. I live in Brentwood and Monroeville ain't bad of a drive but I need to get my interior put back together first and then insure/inspect it before I go anywhere haha.

Well hey if you need any parts or anything let me know, I got a '98 200SX SE that i'm parting out right now. Speically if you need anything for inspection cause i had it passed like 2 weeks before it got totaled (from the back). Like it has a brand new Catalytic Converter, O2 sensor and rotors on it, im also selling the rims I had on it (Motegi MR7s in gun metal) a little scratched up, but they still look good and have brand new tires on them. Oh and a HKS Cold Air Intake if your interested....
