Default My b13 Project "Seven"

Ok. It was about time that I put up a thread documenting my progress with my 93' Se-r. First Let me start things off with my 1st b13 (first car I owned).. an XE but still..

2005-2007
THIS IS SEVEN 1 (I call her Seven Jr.) IN HER PRISTINE

AFTER A FRONT END COLLISION HERE SHE IS AFTER REPAIR. (STUPID LADY BACK UP INTO HER WHILE PARKED. NEVER EVEN LOOKED)

After blowing the AT, I sold off the wheels and a few other parts and removed a bunch more of the interior stuff and took her to the junk yard to RIP..

SEPT. 2008
AND I moved onto my 93' Se-r, I call her Seven Sr. Got my papers and all w/ the original book and window sticker.

1993 USDM sr20de Highport 148k

Mods so far:
Pop charger intake
SSAC header & DP
2.5" custom mandrel bent piping
Edelbrock Muffler (Stock looking, Cops are asses around NY)
Stillen F stb
ST F&R sway bars
KYB GR-2 shocks
Hypercoils (2nd Gen)
Addv22 front brakes
SS F&R brake lines

You can check my 1st photoshoot here:
The 1st shots of my Se-r (Pic Heavy)

I had bought some b14 wheels before I had even bought the car but haven't gotten around to getting some rubber to throw them on. I cleaned them up really good and I will have them on before the summer.

Here's a short video I put together of me on the upstate NY streets messing around. You can hear exhaust and see me do a few pull offs and then a drive by.

SHORT VIDEO
YouTube - My b13 Se-r

As I got more curious about my new found car, SO I decided to take her to a DYNO and see what type of starting numbers I was getting. A little disappointing.

DYNO VIDEO
YouTube - DYNO Run

Chart showed around 98HP! Very Disappointing to say the least.

THE HELP THREADS
At Dyno Losing Power - Need Help
Weekend Plan - Suggestions?
I'm in the progress in checking all the possible problems. transmission/clutch is a major suspect in 1-2 above 6000RPMs. It was suppose to have had the clutch replaced at 60-70k but w/ an OEM one which isn't really for a much more than stock power. Compression could be an issue also ALONG WITH the Timing being off and/or the ignition parts being old/warn/damaged.

Got full tuneup parts (spark plugs, wires, pcv valve, fuel filter, oil filter, distributor and cap). I installed everything. I used Mobil 1 motor oil for the 3 oil changes I've done since I got her.

Thank you GSpec.

I will be tackling getting the rusted rocker panels cleaned up and primed. I haven't figured out how I will fix them yet.
Need Rust/Body Work - S. Westchester/Bx, NY Area

I have a new problem with my PS fluid is leaking. I will be getting the compression and timing checked asap and I'm going to check on the leaky PS tubes.

that rust is pretty bad, but it's definitely worth fixing it cause the rest of the car is super clean

Yeah I know. I could swap for a newer shell but i'd be giving up a 95% perfect body for that 5% of rust on the rocker panels for a shell that might not have rusted rocker panels but a whole lot other stuff that's messed up.. I'll fix it. No biggie..

UPDATE:

Did a few things today. I've been having erratic idle and hesitations (AND lose of power to the wheels too).. SO I tested my MAFs and TPS. Got my FSM for the b13 to do it correctly.

FSM

Got a new Multimeter. I will slowly but surely test all my electrical things.

PROCEDURE

TPS was good and right to spec. As you can see from the FSM, I should be at 1.3-1.7V for the MAF BUT after multiple test I was getting .5-.7V. NOT GOOD! . NEED A MAFS ASAP!

Today, I was also working on removing all the rust, priming as a temporary fix til I can get it to a body shop.

A few more pics from the weekend with me checking FSM.

MORE PICS TO COME

Before long you'll come down with SE-Ritis, for which there is no cure. If you are like the rest of us, rehab is not an option.
