How To: Modify GSX-R Coils
If you are taking the plunge into Coil-On-Plugs, this guide should be of some help to you. In my opinion GSX-R coils are the perfect choice for the FWD SR20. They can be picked up on Ebay for less than 50 dollars with a harness. You need the harness for the clips. Any motorcycle harness that uses DENSO coils will work. You can also elect to purchase the clips from AEM.

The reason I say these coils are perfect is because they are the right height and also have large insulation to make a proper seal on your valve cover.

However one basic modification is needed before use. The insulation is a bit too thick. You need to remove the top half, so you can slide the insulation up a bit more so the coil can make good contact with your spark plug.

I used a razor blade and went around the coil.

You probably don't want this mod. Frankly, our stock ignition system is plenty good enough for most people.
For a good start at how and why COP is different you can start here: http://www.sr20-forum.com/howtos/26073-inductive-coil-tech-coil-plug-cop-tech-more.html
