send me a pic of the starter and I am 100% sure I got it.

If I am correct it is the one without the nose on it.

Unless you are running an AWD tranny or needing one for an actual RNN14, any FWD SR20 starter will work. I've been rocking one from a '92 NX2k for over 5 years in my GTi-R swap.

The cut nose starter is just for the AWD tranny (pretty sure the BB has one too). That and I think it has 9 teeth as opposed to our 8, but that's an irrelevant point.

it has nothing to do with AWD trannys. It has to do with size of the flywheel which is 240mm face for the GTIR and Bluebird 5 speed. The long nos starters hit the back of the larger flywheels. The auto AWD trannys have regular starters.

Has anyone come up with a starter? Does anyone have a part number? If its an old part number maybe a cross over number?
