You will need to swap your passenger engine mount onto the gtir engine in place of that mount as well as shave part of the lower oil pan I believe for dogbone clearance. There are a couple threads on making clearance for the dogbone. Here is a link for modifing your engine harness to work How to: GTiR G20 P10 swap... - G20.net - Forums. Also if it comes with a ecu just use that.

you can cut a hole in ur hood for the top mount clearance but you might as well just do a front mount right away. You will need plugs off of the gti-r harness that you have to solder onto your stock harness for it to work.

get the gtir.....its worth the t28. t25 det is fine, but if all your going to have is a t25, youd be better off just boosting a de with one of the many 500 dollar complete t25 kits out there. in my opinion, get the gtir. make sure its got the gtir maf/ecu. dont really need the harness, youll just be modifiying your b13 one to work with the motor. the only reason youd need the harness, is for the injector plugs, which you can get at a parts store brand new for 15 or so for all 4, or off a car with top feed injectors in the junkyard. the intercooler......yeah, unless you are going to hack up your hood, youll need to relocate it. i tried making it fit on my b13, (i have a gtir swapped b13) and it was a no go, EVEN after shiming the hood up in the back, and cutting out the supports. i could close the hood, but it was still making contact. BUT i think the extra 500 would be wll spent, with a stock gtir, ecu, injecjtors, maf, and a boost controller, you can make 270-290 hp comfortabley. just MAKE SURE you get that maf. alot of times it will not come with one. that g20 link above is a good one by the way....itrs the one i used.

its not going to be any easier to do that. WHAT det.....bluebird, avenir, what? you get a bluebird that will at least come with a topmount......THAT will fit, but you still have to do wiring.....none of the wiring in these cars is challenging, id be willing to bet a trained monkey could do it. if you get an avenir, you will have to get a front mount. either way, youll only have a t25, ****ty 370cc injectors, and a maf that can barley support 250 hp. id MUCH rather have a motor that can make 300 STOCK, with all the stock components. but thats just me. gtir has t28, individual throttle boddies, solid lifters, stronger internals, slightly lower compression, 444cc injectors, a decent sized maf...the det is just a lesser version. still a great motor. the BENEFIT of a det, is that parts are pretty much universal between det's and usdm de's. gtir is its own animal, and parts a pain to find when you need them. For the record, ive owned a bluebird swapped nx, a t28 gtir setup on a usdm de in a ser, a avenir powered nx, and now my gtir ser. i much prefer the gtir over all of them, it has MUCH more potential in stock form.
