qustion regarding gtir motor mounts.
hey guys i have another question for you, on the s13 i built with the rwd sr20det
there was only one mount on each side of the engine because it sat front to back now on the gtir sr20det because it sits sideways from what i can tell there is a large mount on the back side between the firewall but is there a large motor
mount on the front side of the engine (radiator side) or a mount on the front side at all, i still have not seen one of these engines in person yet. thanks for all the help.

there is one where the pulleys are(motor mount) two that hold the front and rear of the tranny(tranny mounts) and two that are not mount but that prevent the drivetrain from swivelling back and forth, one under the turbo and one over the transfer case.

i guess my question should have been how many are actually attached to the block itself. because the motor will have to be mounted front to back like a rwd sr20det and i will have to make my own custom motor mounts for the engine and
in these buggies the custom motor mount that need to be made are solid so the
block will have to be bolted directly to the frame and of course it will be bolted to the transmission and supported by that.

just one, by the pulleys which you wont use any more, your just going to have to make custom mounts if your rwd mounts don't bolt up to some existing mount area(i doubt it)

Also The Distributor Will Hit The Firewall, If You Setup The Motor As A Rwd.

its ok because there will not be a firewall, because it will be mounted like a volkswagen bug and where the firewall would be at the back is where the radiator will be mounted.
