93-94 SE-R MPH part of cluster stopped working?
1.) 91-92 is cable, so no need to reply about these years.

2.) 93-94 is electronic and this is what I have.

Gas hand works
H/C works
RPM works
Clock works
MHP does not work

Is it the cluster, or the sensor on the trans? I had to search on the old forum as I couldn't find much over here. Seems like a 50/50 hit or miss if it's the trans or the cluster.

Bruh looks like your gonna get a ticket. Lol. My shit is a 91 so I have no suggestion on how to fix.

Check wiring between the cluster and the sensor for continuity.
Sensor might be broken, but I doubt it (it is a very simple part).

Everything else works, so you think maybe a wire from the back of the cluster came loose? I have a spare sensor in storage, but I was wondering if I should change it first since everything else works, but I'll check the back for a loose wire.

Start with the basics. Make sure the sensor on the trans is plugged in and that the wiring looks like its all in tact with no damage. You can test to see if your getting a speedo signal by removing the cluster and checking the pin to that location.

Is your odometer working. If it is, its probably a good sign that the speedo itself is bad. Again simple tests. Now if both the odometer and speedo arnt working you might have an issue with the VSS itself on the trans

1 - Sensor was plugged in.
2 - Checked wire and it did not seem damaged. Will triple check it.
3 - Which pin do I check?
4 - Odometer or the trip tracker is not working either.
5 - VSS?

More than likely the vss then. You could check to make sure its getting power to the vss before assuming its bad. If its got power to it then more than likely its bad.

Youd have to look up the pin diagram for the cluster.

You can get another electronic VSS for cheap, just put up a wanted ad or if you know someone close by that has one. You can get them from pretty much any year sentra, dont think it even matters if its a 1.6 or a 2.0. Key is to make sure the color of the gear on the sensor is the same, meaning the same tooth count.

Are we talking about the same thing? Electronic sensor(mounted on trans) and Eletronic VSS as you call it same thing? If so, it has to be from a 93-94, not a 91-92. I have a spare in my other trans I'm going to plug in before I remove the cluster. The one in my spare trans came out easy, but the one in the car is like it's welded in there O_o.

Yes we are talking about the same thing. VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor. You might need to just twist a bit to get the old one out. If you have a spare just plug it in and give it a turn with the key on and see if you are getting anything on the cluster.
