Broken/Missing Nissan Injector Pintle Caps?
I remember searching for these stupid pintle caps a while back and had zero luck finding them from an aftermarket source. I was also told by Nissan that they dont sell just the pintle caps and that you would have to buy whole new injectors.

Well here they are. JECS style OEM Nissan Injector Pintle Caps from an aftermarket source. I know a lot of you have experienced broken or missing pintle caps. Most just choose to run them without the pintle caps as well as me in the past, while with no issues doing so, just having the bottom o-ring not being held in by anything still kinda scares me either way even though ive yet to see one blow out and go into the motor along with the tons of fuel that would be behind it.

Nissan JECS Fuel Injector Pintle Caps - 20 Qty | eBay

Anyways, about time someone sold these stupid little things.

Yeah they definitely were not available a couple years ago when I last looked for them. My buddy needs some for his 370cc injectors. Most are broken or missing. Its amazing it took this long for someone to finally start making these things. I remember searching everywhere with no luck at all.

lol. they really dont do anything other than help keep the o-ring in place if it were to ever slide down any. I think thats the main reason.

i seem to remember that pintle caps are to stop fuel residue remaining on the pintle when the engine is shut off, as residual heat from the bore will rise on whatever cylinder stopped with the inlet valves open and bake the fuel off leaving residue, and after time this residue will build up and affect spray pattern/fuel delivery

Their main purpose is to hold the lower oring in place and prevent it from leaving the rail. I know this first hand as I've ran an injector without the pintle cap as others stated they don't do anything and a part of the lower oring was forced out under the fuels pressure which caused the cylinder to get flooded with fuel and temporarily hydro-locked the engine.

i've purchased from this seller on ebay in the past, great price for a hard to find item and I absolutely recommend replacing them on any injectors to avoid the headache I went through!
