clogged fuel rail?
I am working on a car that sat for like 4 years. It had bad gas and rust in the tank,as well as a rusted/seized fuel pump and sending unit.

I replaced all that, and cleaned the tank out.
The only part of the fuel systen I didnt touch was the rail/injectors.
I have fresh fuel to the rail, but when I hook it up,I dont get a single drop of fuel out of the injectors
I am thinking that the rail and/or injectors are clogged based on how bad everything in the tank was from the old gas.

Anyone have any input on this??
I posted a wanted thread for a fuel rail and injectors to try out,but that will be next week before I can get one here.

TIA
Jay

If they are the original injectors that sat that long and fuel went bad more than likely the inside of the injectors rusted shut and are bad. Its not good for them to sit that long with fuel inside them.

You can apply 12v directly to the injector and hold it and see if you can get them to break loose but more than likely they are done for.

They are definately the originals, and they sat for over 4 years with fuel in them.
I am honestly hoping you are right, and they are rusted shut or something. That would make it an easy fix.lol

I tried to put 12v on them and nothing.

yeah if you did that then they are shot. Replace the fuel rail and injectors and the fuel filter if you havent already.

Try giving the injectors a tap (not too hard!) this should open them back up as they tend to stick shut if stood for a while.
