sr20de on a 1600 cc. gearbox
Hi every one.
I am new here. Firebird400 from Iceland

I have a 1997 Nissan Primera 1600 GX, nothing fancy nor turbos or anything, just a Plain Jane daily driver.

I just bought a 1999 SLX Primera with a SR20DE and an automatic transmission and was just thinking if the SR20DE would bolt up to gearbox I have in the 1600 GX?

His question was can he put a sr20de in his car using his stock tranny, yyour thread is about customizing it to fit his question was simple and the answer is no your idea of a ga transmission combined with a sr20de is stooopid my friend had a ga16de boosted 290 whp on slicks and broke 1st gear on launch got another tranny and tried it again broke second gear ..... stick with the honda boys and buy a 370z tranny try making that fit.

Ohh I see.

"NO" did the job for me.

As I stated it is a daily driver, it does not need to handle turbo boosted launches.

I did not ask if it could handle the awesome power of a stock 2 liter.

I am just trying to keep a cheap car going for work. And after 250000+ km on the dial its good to have a back-up. And that is what the 2 liter engine car is.

But now I know. If my engine fails I will have to use the awful automatic as well as the engine.

You obviously do not know what i am talking about i was referring to a thread he created where he thought a ga16de tranny could be stronger than DE trans Nobody cares about you don't come at me sideways line them up your on the list now with ashton. Why are you so arrogant always giving people advise like if you've ever driven a fast car i go 10 sec 1/4 miles with 400 horse where are you at you know nothing.
