How to ID the final drive?
Its hard to trust the salvage yards around here.
They list parts as one thing and they turn out to be another.
Im mainly concerned about the year of the trans (so i know what final drive im getting.) They usually list the part by a range of years that it fits and not the year of the car it came from.

Once I get the 6spd trans how do I know which final drive it is?
Count teeth or something like that?

Thanks guys.

Ring Gear / Pinion Gear = Final Drive

I think there's a way to get it by rotating the input shaft, but I can't remember sorry. Isn't there a number punched in on the 6 speed transmission?
