flushing power steering fluid
I'm just wondering if any of you have done this. Been searching for a bit and I cant find much on the power steering system besides cursing and removing it. I made the mistake of way back in the day of using off the shelf power steering fluid instead of ATF, and I would like to get some new hoses and flush the system and put the right spec'd ATF in and see how it goes.

So how should I go about flushing the Power steering fluid? or is there a drain plug?

I am completely uneducated on power steering, i just take it for granted.

Per Nissan Factory It is recommended to use DEXRON type ATF fluid.

Not using so can cause wear and noise from what I know of. This is why I want to switch, as When topping of back in the day and never having any noise/ leak at all i am wondering what I can do to solve any issues.

Wow I am a dumbass. There is a section in the FSM. I will see if I can save the pages as a JPEG, upload them and link them. For reference, the information I am speaking of is on 657 of the B13/N14 Nissan FSM Volume 2.

Anyone know where to get a cheaper high pressure ps line for the b14, other than the dealer and greg v. Mine is leaking and the ps leak sealers dont work in our systems for future reference, I always use dextron III/ merkon fluid.

The last time I drained the system I set up a containment of plastic dropcloth and pulled the curved rubber hose from right underneath the reservoir off and drained it there (it makes a mess any way you drain it). I have also done it in the car wash and then pressure washed the motor (after covering critical stuff with plastic shopping bags of course)

Buy a couple of cheap bottles of PS fluid, drive around a while, then use a turkey baster for an afternoon
