tranny switches
Which is which?
I think they are neutral and reverse...but
One is by the drivers axle ,ther other is by the shift input shaft

I have been searching with no luck.

Edit...I found the answers and wanted to share to help others
After searching,I found info is all over the place and/or incorrect.
I was doing a B13 to B15 trans swap in a B13.Whatever needs to be done for the B14 should be similar.
Polarity of the switches either doesn't matter ,or I got luck on BOTH switched hooking them up.
I just cut the pigtails off a B13 trans and connected them to the sensors so it would be plug and play with the B13 harness.

B13 trans
-Grey wire/grey plug is reverse
-Black plug in black loom is neutral. It is the one near the shift rod.

B15 Trans
-Blue sensor is reverse, faces toward the front of the car.
-Black sensor is neutral, located near the LSD hump.

Edit: This is wrong info. See post #4 and #13!

I used to know this by heart. I'm 75% sure the one with the black plastic plug is the reverse switch. The neutral switch has the grey plug.

I think that's the neutral switch in the center of the picture, and the reverse switch hidden down below and to the right of the drain plug. (This jives with what Jensen said.)

I had an inkling that wasn't right, because of how the internals of the transmission work. Checking the FSM shows the opposite of what me and Jensen has said to be true. So...

Black = Neutral (by the striking rod)
Grey = Reverse (by the reverse gear hump)

The grey oval plug is the reverse, the black plug is the neutral switch.

100% positive

In the picture above, the highest sensor is the reverse the one that sits down by the selector shaft is the neutral switch.

The one on the rear case is sitting directly above the reverse gear and selector.

Thanks everyone!
I guess I have to replace the reverse switch. The wires are broke off right a the sensor,so I cant go by the plug color, but its the one in the center of the pic with the grey plug.

definately need the reverse lights working.

Bump...what about on the B15 trans they are in a different location.
One is blue and one is black(sensors)

Cant recall which one is which. There should be one near the selector shaft going into the trans, that one is still the neutral switch. You can take a multimeter and test them if you have one. With the trans in neutral the one with continuity through the switch is your neutral switch.
