i have a 94 sentra with a sr20ve-t making 276 hp.
so today my tranny went out in a 3rd gear pull.
what trannys could i use with my 94 sentra?
could i use a b15 tranny?
or would i be better off getting a b13 tranny?
shit i dont even know the options i have to choose from.
any help would be great!
just got it two days ago with 200k miles and 60k on the sr20ve motor.

You can use the B15 but youll have to convert it from Hydo to Cable. I heard the P11 would be better then the B15 for turbo car. And any SR20 Tranny would work.

or if you got the $$ and the skills you can do the 6 speed swap

and it's converting from cable to hydro....not the other way around

i was in 3rd gear got to abt 5psi and it popped out with some girnding noises, then 3rd wouldnt work but all the other gears worked but by the time i was almost hom 1st and 2nd wont even go into gear. 3rd goes into gear just wont move the car, 4th and 5th work so does reverse.

Don't forget this one:

The 6-speed swap is great, if you have a bit more serious wrenching skills and a good sized budget.

This one tells you why a B15/P11 is better than a B13/14:

B15/P11 tranny- why it's better than B13/B14 - SR20 Forum

This one covers the gear ratios:

Gear Ratios for B13\14 & P10\P11 - SR20 Forum

And this one is a good read:

How To Put A QR B15 6 Speed Tranny In Your Car - SR20 Forum

The B15/P11 is the most common swap. The P11 having slightly longer gears (?) is supposed to be better for turbo applications. I've got a B15 in my Classic. The B15/P11 is much, much beefier in every respect than a B13/14 tranny.

I've seen the B15/P11's go for 700-1100 bucks.

Also, add in all of this:

1) Prothane or equivalent (Nismo, Place Racing, JWT) motor/tranny mounts. Prothanes being the most common and cheapest by far. Our stock motor/tranny mounts suck hairy ballsack.

2) Redline tranny fluid.

3) High quality, non-abusive, clutch choice.

4) Andreas Miko Tranny Saver Bracket:

Good luck.

Actually Shawn, I would recommend 80W140 Transmission fluid as an extra sense of "cushion" for the gearbox

Ask a few "known" members on here and they will probably say the same thing.

But I agree with everything else Shawn has said
