Acceleration issue?
Okay so, before my rebuild my car accelerates (only sometimes) a bit rough and loses power. I just rebuilt my motor (rings, and gasket) and it is still having the same issue. I did not rebuild it because i thought it would fix it, it just needed the rebuild. It feels just the same as when you turn on the ac and the car loses power. Low and high rpm's! Any idea's?

Have you checked for leaks? Cleaned or regrounded the MAF? Any trouble codes? Or done anything else yet for that matter? If there's something you've tried, anything, let us know, gives us a better idea on where to start.

Yeah sorry. I have regrounded the maf and for a minute it was pulling nice. Than i fixed a vac leak and now its losing power again. When it was pulling nice, it had a vacuum leak. Second i fixed it, it feels really boggy and slow. I dont race like at all but you can feel the difference from just driving

Could be a lot of things causing the hesitation. Injector about to fail, fuel pump failing causing pressure fluctation, Bad wiring to the injectors (they get brittle and break inside the insulation causing intermittent misfires), TPS not set correctly should be set with a signal voltage w/ throttle closed at .37-.45 and 3.92-4.02 volts full throttle. Could be timing not set correctly, improper plug gap, weak coil or wires, bad cap and rotor. I mean it goes on and on. Just have to start troubleshooting.

Hmm alright thanks. There are alot of reasons i suppose. Idk where to start ^.^

Start with the simplest and work your way up. Pull plugs, check gaps, check cap and rotor, check tps voltage, check fuel pressure, and so on.

You have an old car man. It could be 1, 2, or everything that's messing up. Unless you've replaced every part properly with new, and still new parts can be bad out of box, then you need to check everything. I, and many here, have tested damn near every part of our cars tracking down issues. You really need to hit up the FSM, and start running a full diagnostics. Start at the simple stuff, and work your way out. You will replace parts, and fix problems as you find them. I've done the same thing posting asking for help, but I got tired of scratching my head. It can be one of so many simple common things that we would be hard pressed to pinpoint the issue for you here. You need to manually test items, and report back here weather of not they were within factory spec. Start with the stuff Ashton list, then report back what you find.
