Knock sensor code

I am just curious if the knock sensor light is on does this automatically reduce my timing until the light is shut off?

how did you get the knock sensor light?

when ECU detects knock it will retard the timing

My knock sensor light turns on only at startup, I clear the code and it doesn't come back on till next startup
