need generic OBD help (wiring the diff loom in)
I could use some directions hooking up the ECU with the OBD.

I have put (with help of friends) a GA16DE in to a K11 (had CG13DE)

Engine runs.

tx, rx, CLK, ground, 12Volt are connected, all ground and 12 volt to the ECU is connected.

However, with Datascan and other software, it won't connect, it also doesn't try to connect so it seems.

What could be the issue? I have the feeling I'm missing something, but I have no idea what to look for.

TIA

Can you connect to other cars with the same setup (assuming that you know the setup definintely works?)

Yes we hooked up the laptop with my Nx and also I hooked up the laptop before taking the engine out of the Micra

But I really do think there is something overlooked while all communication is set up, e.g. the ground, the 12 volt that supplies to the OBD reader it is all there

Any chance of blowing up the rx or tx on the ECU with this kind of solder jobs?
