Battery+Brake Lights BUT....
I only get them when I'm at idle. This is my second frickin' peice of crap alternator from Advance Auto Shiz. Pops says the belts might be loose, but I'm also experiencing a buzzing sound from the fusebox/consult port area in my Egg. Your thoughts? I'll be checking the belt tightness tomorrow.

You would hear the belt screaming for dear life at that point I would imagine.

Aye, Blair - I've already settled on getting another Alty from Andreas before I go get another POS from Advance...but remember this thread? :

Perhaps the spade connector has come loose...I won't know until I get in there tomorrow...but as you guys say, it probably is just a faulty POS alternator from AAP. If anyone here has an alternator/power wire they want to sell, now is the time to PM me as well.

If it's only at idle it's you're alt. When that wire goes, the light will always be on, not just at idle.

I went through 3 junk alternators myself. All within 1 year. I finally broke down and got an oem alt. I would replace your battery at the same time too. I went through 2 batteries from the junk alternators.

A bad alternator can take out your ECU, dash, and other electronics while it dies on you. Never go cheap aftermarket with starters or alternators. Not worth it.

You guys make me nervous. :P

I'm running autozone stuff on both my cars for years and never had a problem. Just saying.

Why dont you reman the alternator your self?

I did that to my original one and have had no problem ever since.

Also, stop buying crappy parts from autozone/advance autoparts/crack boys. That goes for everyone!
