engine will turn over but wont start
hey guys I have a problem with my nx it will turn over but it wont start if it does start then it will bog down an shut off. The fuel filter looks empty but I pulled of the gas line and I couldn't even get it off with out gas coming out it doesn't make since. I tried to search it but nothing came up.

Can u hear the fuel pump priming? pull the plugs also and see if they smell like fuel. verify that u have spark evertime the engine turns.

ya it will prime but it was raining last night so I could do much but when I get home from work I'm going to pull the plug and at first when I started it it would idle but if I touched the gas it would bog down and die but thanks for the info

Check the IACV hose coming off the intake tube. Maybe a loose MAF or maf connection.

ok guys,, it's raining like a dog around here right now so we can't really spend any time on it yet...

but here's what we have done so far and what it's doing,

car ran fine when he came over yesturday to watch the super bowl, when he was going to leave it started up and ran for about 2 minutes then died,,,

after that it wouldn't do anything but turn over,, checked plugs and they where covered with gas,, definitely getting fuel, changed plugs and it fired right up for about 45 seconds then died.

checked fire and Yep it's getting spark after the coil and through the plug wires, checked cap and rotor and they look good, checked the plugs and they look dry but smelled like fuel... I checked the Maf connection and it was good, nothing looks out of place, broke or loose..

motor won't do anything but turn over and over not even trying to start,,

raining good so I quit messing with it for now...

I know it's gotta be something simple but for some reason this one has stumped me

I'll look at the IACV hose when it quits raining

pull the rail off and to watch it spray and make sure it isnt just dumping fuel into the cylinders...?

I pulled 2 plugs after it fired up and died again,, they where dry but had a fuel smell...

just before pulling them I turned the motor over several times without it starting.. if it was flooding wouldn't the plugs have been wet?

Try this ,Larry.I would pull the fuel line going into the rail first.See if it pumps fuel into a bucket or something. If so...reconnect it and pull the whole rail like unijabnx2000 said.
Kinda sounds like a weak fuel pump or maybe injector(s)

Sounds like you have run the normal tests so far so thats where I would go next.

check the voltage at the fuel pump if the "filling the bucket" method is a little slow

we did pull the line off going into the rail to see if it had any pressure and WOW what pressure,, fuel sprayed everywhere.. lol ,

I'm going to take off work early tomorrow provided it's not raining and I'll try looking at it again..

this sucks because poor ol Steven can't go to school or nothing while his Nx sits in my yard,, I'm trying to help him out the best I can.

thanks for the response so far and plz if you guys can continue to lend a hand maybe we will get his Sr20 back to running.
