Radiator fan wiring
After doing my swap, I also installed a koyo with slim fans. I wired the fans to a toggle switch. Now I'm wanting to wire it properly. Question is, is the fan triggered by the 1 wire or 2 wire switch? Cause my ecu reads proper temp in realtime compared to my aftermarket gauge, but the oem dash gauge is FOREVER maxed out in the H. if i wire it and the fan is triggered by the 1 wire/oem gauge switch, my fans will never turn off. It will always think it's overheating. And yes, I've replaced te switch a few times, it won't read properly.

It's the two wire switch. One wire switch is for the gauge only. Sounds like your OEM gauge is probably broken?

the two wire, cool. i thought it may be, just wanted to know for sure. i get all paranoid and run the heat and fans at stop lights and slow traffic. kinda sucks now in the summer months! LOL!

and yes, MAYBE the stock gauge is broken. but it seems to work properly to a point...then it just tacks out to H. im not concerned with the electronic readings telling me everything is ok AND my motor still runs just fine after 8k miles. it only started doing it after the swap though.

Those aren't switches. They're thermistors. The 2 wire sensor is for the ECU, and the single wire for the gauge. The fan relay is controled from pin 9 on the ECU.
