What are some typical symptoms of a problem with the vacuum lines?

What if a good amount of the time the idle is fine but every once in a while the rmps fall to idle then just keep falling and it dies. Mixed with engine bogging between 2-4k rmps even (and its not a shaky foot, this happens with the cruise control on also).

If the car can hold a steady idle at 700-750 RPM then usually there is no vaccum issue. Start with checking the TPS or the MAFS if you are having a problem in a specific RPM range. I would check the timing also.
