Prothane Inserts
Is there anybody that can explain how to install these into the mounts? Do I cut the original rubber or do you actually press out the outer metal ring on the mounts? I'm doing all of my mounts, also on the lower part of the dogbone mount how do i get this one out or whats the easiest way? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

As far as I understand it you pop out the metal sleeve with the rubber, although I haven't actually done it myself.

All seriousness though, it is really easy. Just get a chisel and a hammer and bang away on the inner metal ring until it bends inward. Once it goes in far enough you can tap the entire sleeve out. Then press in the prothanes.

gunnartalon,
I was about to go crazy with the first post you left. I tried the search function first, but i couldn't find any real good info or how to's i was looking for. Then i PM'd two members that had inserts on their cars and never got a response! So this was my last straw, posting to get help. I appreciate the second response it helps big time! By the way how do you do the lower dog bone little rubber insert to get it out?

I actually have no idea. I did mine on an auto and the auto does not have a dog bone. I would imagine it would be pretty similar though.

It's really easy, I've done like 10 sets already and it takes about 2 minutes per mount max (included pressing in the prothane)
