1995 200sx ga16 I need help(pics semi long)
so i have a 1995 200sx that was flooded in hurricane wilma in key west 2005 i bought it a year after for $1500 it had alot more problems when i bought it the sportlines used to bottom out on the bridge expansion joints, it has a moderate amount of rust in the normal areas

= it averages 22 mpg i cant figure out why, i have changed both o2 sensors, headers(broke), no cat(fell off on I95) custom rewelded o2 in pipe, all of the exaust is 2" except for the 3 feet after the cat which is still original w/ resonator well at least till it falls off, tps 2 times, iacv 4 times, spark plugs(iridium 1 year ago), cap and rotor, mass air sensor(stranded me in the middle of a 4 lane road), alternator(2 times in 6 months), fuel filter, injectors and fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator(2 times stock),throttle body heater delete, headlight housings i have hids,

= when i shift the car back fires mostly in the lower gears at any rpm (i had a
b13 sentra before this car and i got 42 mpg with a ga16 same rims which are 17" and same audio setup as now) so im figuring it runs rich based on most people with the sr20 get better gas mileage than me, i replaced the fuel rail, fpr and the injectors about a month ago no difference in the mpg but the inside of the intake manifold has a heavy carbon on it im wondering if that would affect it

when i pulled the injectors out some of the plastic pieces that are on each one were broken off i dont know what their purpose is and the o rings have rust on them so i replaced them all with better ones i found in the junk yard

=when im on I95 for a while and then i get off and im sitting at a red light the rpm's stay at 2000 -2200 sometimes I have to rev it to 5000 and it will drop back down to 800 but that has been working less and less each time but when i turn the car off for like 30 seconds it goes back to normal when i start it back up, i thought it was the iacv getting stuck but i keep replacing them and each one does something different

so today i was coming back from the junk yard and it started raining while i was at a red light so i put up my windows and turned my a/c on and when i hit the button my rpms dipped down to 200 then went slowly back up to 500 and stayed there so i tapped the gas it bogged up to 1500 slowly then it went down to 200 again and back to 500 so i turned the a/c off and it idled at 800 so im like wtf im not gonna use the a/c for a while later on i was taking my friend home and i noticed my drivers side foglight was out so i got it home and got out the multimeter and tried to figure out what it is( i think it is the ballast again this is the second time one of them went out) while i was figuring that out i noticed the fuse for the a/c compressor was all melted into the fuse box but the actual fuse wasnt blown

so i pry the old one out and scrape all the melted plastic off and put a new 7.5A fuse in

and turn the a/c on and it still does the 200- 500 thing (i can make a video if need be)

its weired ive never seen anything like it i tried to get it to stall but it wont

i dont know what to do
im going to be driving to Ft. Pierce every day from west palm in a month for work at Tropicana and i want to get this all fixed before that
if not i might go and get a new car i dont have the time or money to do a swap right now but its on my list

its funny i can do interior pretty good but i cant figure any of this out so any help is much appreciated

my g/f car

I live in palm beach if anyone wants to look at it or offer any suggestions
let me know

I posted this on the other forum last night but no one read it so i think im going to stick with the dash

Backfire as in through the intake, or more like unburnt fuel through the exhaust even after the cat?

The injector pintle cap tabs aren't that big of a deal, don't worry about them, they're not affecting anything.

I would check your timing in any case, it sounds like you've pretty much replaced almost every possible sensor on the car.

I can't believe you paid that much for a ga16 in that bad of condition. I would personally sell that car and get something else, but that's just me...

I'm near the Broomall/Springfield area, I know where Limerick is, been up that way several times.

You should check the timing as well as the sparkplugs and might as well get a spare distributor and see if that changes anything.

i just had someone from advance auto look at it he unplugged my iacv and tps and the rpms stayed the same he said my computer isnt reading the sensors does that sound right?

now im getting 24 mpg but now i think my timing is off ive tried to get the engine in timing mode but everytime i disconnect the tps the rpms jump up to 2000 after 10 seconds and the marks are off by an inch on the crank and i cant adjust the idle any lower because the idle screw is not even touching the throttle linkage anymore and the normal idle is 1050 is the timing procedure different for the ga16 engine
