Very impressive, I just wish Japanese cars would catch on to the diesel sedan fad.

Less than 40mph on the highway? No thanks. My old civic got almost 50mpg taking it easy on the highway and coasting at 55.

Some of the comments are priceless.
When I had a Prius I saw an combined AVG of 39MPG. 50MPG is not realistic for most people as a combined average.

Now that we have a JSW TDi we see a combined AVG of 35MPG.

However, on the highway, if we are cruising along at the limit (65), we see basically the same MPG as the Prius - or around 45-50MPG.

All that said, I fucking hated that Prius and could not rid myself of it quickly enough. I love the JSW, and will happily eat that 4MPG city difference with a bit fat fucking smile on my face.

For some reason, I can't find where they included the cost of the battery replacement for the Leaf and Prius. Is there a second page or footnote or something?

Or do batteries not need replacing in ImaginaryWorldAgendaLand? Then again, if that mystical land is 74 miles away, you'll never get there in a Leaf anyway.
It isn't a fad.... It is called winning.

So far 38mpg combined and highway @ 70-75 I see ~45mpg.

Wouldn't be bad except you would want to kill yourself driving an Altima.

I love the feel and abilities of the TDIs, but I would not buy a VW/Audi. Based on experiences of family ('04 Jetta TDI) and friends, their reliability just sucks. The capper for me was the R&T long-term test of an Audi S4 that needed a new manual trans after only 16k miles.
