Radiator questions
So I bought an aftermarket aluminum radiator with 2 slim fans because it was recommend by the mechanic who was fixing my car. Long story short I needed the car fixed immediately so i took it to a new guy and he looking at me like why did i buy this. From what he told me the factory g20 fans and radiator cool better then the after market radiator. just wanted to know if any has had experiences with this and if its true. I'm running a det motor and I've been having issue with temperature of the car last couple of weeks

We would need to know the brand of the rad. If it is mishimoto or koyo it is better if some ebay brand who knows!

GODSPEED ALUMINUM RADIATOR - SR20 Forum

check out the posts above. seems all right from those reviews. Remember many mechanics/people are biased.

well this is whats happening to me my car runs great for maybe a day bu then the temp will jump and eventually cause the hose behind the intake manifold to burst. I changed hoses, thermostat, coolant temp sensor, not really sure what else i should do i thought maybe it could be the radiator but there no leaks coming from it i dont know the fans i have are only one speed could that be why?

found out that its not the radiator but the slim fans are not cooling efficiently. im just gonna go back oem

OEM Fans will work the best unless you spend good money on fans. I had a 2" koyo with $30 fans and I still overheated. Once I got $100 SPAL fans it now stays cold boosting and with AC on .

Cheapest solution for NA is stock radiator and stock fans. I am turbo thus I don't have space for stock fans

yeah im turbo but im stock turbo no upgraded i tried driving the car around for a bit. the manifold doesnt have the shield and it was glowing red it melted my radiator fan so i think oem is probably my best bet

I'm running a P10 with stock BB sr20det. i tried to experiment with the radiator and fans. i have the fans behind the grill and i shaved off the bottom rad support. made some brackets, it cleared up more room.

well the radiator i have was a good set up i think the guy i took the car to was trying to b.s me into selling it, anyways right now im running a 12in slim on the inside of the bay (away side of the manifold and running another slim fan on the outside behind the grill it working good so far but i blew the motor car leaned out so im waiting for my parts to come so i can put my new motor in
