T28 internal gated to external gated questions
My t28 is currently internal gated, but I would think i would benefit better off a external setup. I have the manifold already for a tial wastegate 15psi.
So my question is how do i weld the turbo correctly?
Thanks for the help.

Don't weld the turbo at all please...... You can make a brace to hold the flap shut or tac weld the flap to keep it closed. Don't weld it all the way it effects resale.

I always NPT tap the internal hole and use a pipe plug.

I just tack welded the little flappy thing that's on the side of the turbo once the wastegate actuator is removed.

Re: T28 internal gated to external gated questions
My mbc keeps going out and I had this mvs 38mm tial sitting for a year so I used it but I have to get the turbo rebuilt lol I'll post the video don't sound bad rev to 6k to get it to smoke. Seals are gone on my t28.
