ITB vs Single 70mm throttle on custom plenum for sr20ve+t
Hi there, i have question, and its not about how to do it, or can it be done. Its is it worth it, and what i will gain. Did somebody made some dynos yet, because just guessing is not enough to do it. I have already reworked one GTiT itb plenum, almost done ... with sr20ve flange ready to be welded on it(rwd engine, so plenum fiipped already) and i will bore the throttles to 48-9-50mm because i think the throttle square area is smaller than the ports ... i also have one sr20ve manifild ready to be reworked for 70mm throttle body ... so my question is if somebody already made something like that, and have dyno sheet or some real experience with itb vs single throttle ... i need to know in what direction to continue. My setup is stock sr20ve engine for now, and hx35 turbo, but i dont think discussing how it will last will help me to decide. I am planning to upgrade the engine in future, just now its time to decide about the itb vs single ... so please help, at least with what i really to expect when go itb and turbo ... but please from experience ... also, tuning is not an issue, i have good ecu, and good tuners, what i want to know here is only what i will gain and loose from each setup in real life, not assumptions
