My B13 project... but I have questions
I'm a bit in uncharted territory here guys. I'm trying a few new things. I've got a 1994 SER and just got the VVL engine in and running. But I do have some questions I was hoping someone could provide some insight, in case it could save me some time. It's cold as hell outside right now, so I'm taking a break for a few.

Boy, has it been a while since I've made a thread here.

VE installed in B13
Using VE distributor, VE FICD and AAC valve. The DE air regulator valve plug is left disconnected. VE TPS is used (top plug only)
Using DE injectors, maf, and ECU. All stock.
Coolant temp sensor is disconnected at the moment (gotta swap sensors or plugs)
Disabled the VE cold-start mechanism on TB.

Right now the car idles very high, at 2500rpm. With the Cold-Start mechanism disconnected, I thought the idle would be a little more manageable.

This car needs to be able to run properly with the DE stuff as much as possible. If anyone has some ideas to get this idle down to around 1000rpm or so let me know. I have a few things I want to try but I want to see if anyone has run into this particular issue and has a quick fix.

I would think mixing the VE sensors with DE ECU would do some funky stuff?

Needs to use DE AAC and IACV

Are the AAC and IACV actually different? The plugs are similar, and wire colors are identical. The FICD has a different plug, but I wouldn't imagine anything else is really different.

I'm gonna hook up the coolant temp sensor.

The VE TPS has the 2 plugs on it, i use the top plug right?

I unplugged the AAC and the car idles perfect. No issues at all. So for now, it will stay disconnected. I probably have to do an idle re-learn or swap the valve.

The oil light comes on intermittently though, and it isn't dependent on rpm. Hoping this isn't a spun crank bearing or something.
