competition clutch or clutch masters?
ive been seeing that these are the 2 clutches of choice for both turbo and na powered vehicles on here. i would like to know what makes you a believer of these clutches. ive seen people run both and vouch for both and i would like to know in detail y you choice your clutch setup. also would like to know the difference between both sprung and ridged clutch and how they drive and handle both on the "highway" and at the track. go

CM seems to have a bit better normal single disk clutches than Comp. Comps clutches are also strong but some feel the pedal feel is a bit too hard on the comp clutches vs the clutchmasters. There are other options out there again depending on power level.

I personally used ACT clutches before I went to the twin disk and never had any clutch problems besides when it started to slip once i eclipsed its power ratings and once it got pretty old.

Ive ran act, exedy, spec, and competition. In my opinion do far the competition iron man 6 puck sprung disk has been the best at holding and pedal feel. My problems were popped springs in act, exedy slipped, and the spec clutch had a very weak pedal. So far I've been running the comp and am very happy with the results so far.

clutch masters stg 5 all the way. its tricky on the take off but will hold tons of power with a stock pedal feel.

Now how bad is it to drive the stge 5 on the street? Is it really bad or could be done with little practice.

No competition clutches for me. I have seen 3 failed clutches on my buddies s2k. All with less than 50miles

Got the same clutch Alex is talking about and will never get anything else. Mine is hydraulic driven instead of cable but the pedal is smooth as butter and it grabs immediately. Very easy to get used to and drive on even with a DD. Sounds like it feels similar on a cable driven tranny.

Get this and be done with it unless you are making over 500hp.
