Which CP piston for VE head on DET block???
Ok just got off the phone with CP/Carrillo I have a DET block and I want to build it with CP 9.0.1 pistons and manley H beam rods with a VE head. I was doing some research and found a package deal which listed the pistons as part # SC7324 so i called them to see if there were valve reliefs cut in the pistons which they said no to even though the pics showed them with it. So my question is this is there a set of CP pistons for a standard bore DET (86mm) that is notched for the piston coolers (oil squirters whatever you wanna call it) and also have vlave reliefs cut in them. Please provide a part number if you know what I need, I didnt care about the valve reliefs at first because I was gonna run the SR20VE cams but after seeing Coheeds dyno comparison >>LINK<< I decided that I am definately gonna go with some N1 cams with Supertech valves, guides, dual springs and titanium retainers and set my rev limit set to 9000rpm. I am anxiously awaiting a reply to my dilema.

CP Pistons Nissan SR20VE SR20VET 86mm 9.0:1 SC7324V

I'm guessing the "V" in the part number mean valve reliefs?

Or the V in the part number could mean that its for a VE/VET motor. Do you know if these have the notches for the oil squirters in the DET motor?? Thanks for the quick reply by the way

Wow definately didn't know that. So both the VE and VET blocks have oil squirters just like the DET's do huh. Same dimensions and everything so I should be good to go then and not good to blow lol. Again thanks for your help bro.

WTF man supertech does'nt make standard size inconel exhaust valves and stainless Intake valves for the VE???? I was looking to upgrade the stockers while I was in there. I'm shooting for 500+ WHP and dont want any issues.

Just use the standard valves, but upgrade the springs and retainers if you want.
