    Default sr20ve-t timing map advice

So I'm hoping to be able to do my turbo install this weekend and I'm not sure what to do about a timing map. I found this u12 bin in the Nistune ROM pack and I noticed that the timing map is much much more conservative compared to a w10 or even u13 timing map.

    u12 timing map

    u13

    w10

I even compared it to a few different s13 sr20det timing maps and its still way lower then anything I've found so far.

I just don't wanna blow my shit up before I can make it to the dyno cause I'm not going to be able to go right away an I know I'm going to try to have a little fun. So do you guys think it would be ok to use the u12 map as a starting point for my sr20ve-t? should I lower the timing some more? If so where?

Just to be clear, I am not asking if this map will make the best power or whatever, I just want it to be fairly safe so i can play with the boost a little.

It all depends on what TP 0 psi is at and what TP you start building boost. If you really want a safe map, just have your timing at 10* across board and then go from there.

U13 with about -3 -4degrees from 6000 to6800 will be nice at about 10-13 psi with a conservative afr.
The other maps will just make it feel lazy.
Just make sure your at 15* base first. GL

With slow boost building turbos you need more then two, but he is on a GTiR T28 so should be fine with 2-3 columns. With my ball bearing T25 I could get away with 1 column for boost. As soon as you press the gas it was in the last column at 9 psi

Even when I love being N/A I could really use some extra torque from a potato on my VE

Agree with the bulletproof timing map, I'd use the U12 map and then start raising

What base mechanical timing would we run with those maps? 15* (just confirming)

lynchfourtwenty you still got your N1 cams map? N1 cams map should be a little more conservative then 20ve. We can take the off boost portion of that map and add on boost with our low timing and we should be good to go. Email it to me and I'll mock something up for you.

Negligible difference. It's T2, so will spool fast on VE.

heres the bin and heres a log

    http://forum.nistune.com/download/file.php?id=1688

from what i can tell i need to do a few things, i can either adjust the TP scale so it will use the last coloumn and lean the fuel map out a bit more, or I can adjust the kvalue a bit because its running richer then it was n/a at idle an a little bit at cruise, and at wot. i will probably end up doing a mixture of all those to get it dialed in.

@lynchfourtwenty do you have any screenshots of the timing map you're currently running?
And have you had the car on a dyno?
