low vacuum and fuel in oil
ok im getting tired of fighting with this and not getting any results and ive looking all over the web to find nothing that helps me. so I bought this 91 hatchback with a redtop sr and it wasnt running so i changed the fuel pump new spark plugs and fixed the wires on the maf that they messed up and put the power to the signal and vis versa and not i have it running but it idles ruff and puts out a little black smoke from the exhaust and idles with 10 psi of vacuum and runs so rich if i let it run for about 30 minutes i have fuel in my oil and im stuck on what to do now. i dont know what to check or anything. also if i disconnect the maf it idles great. any ideas?

Could be a few things the mad could be bad , it could have a vacume leak, it could be the wrong maf for the tune in the car , bad coolant temp sensor ( the one with the two wire plug )

First, PRESSURE TEST THE SYSTEM. Guarantee you have vacuum leaks if you're drawing 10inHg. Then double check MAF wiring. They may have fried the MAF when wiring it in incorrectly.

You need to drain the oil and put fresh oil in only after you pressure test the system and find the vacuum leaks. Too much fuel in the oil will break down the viscosity and you'll end up spinning bearings faster than you can pour aunt jemima on your pancakes.

PS- moving this to turbo specific section since I'm assuming you drive an S13/S14 hatch with a redtop DET...

sounds like a typical misfire. does your idle smooth out if you totally unplug the maf??

If you have fuel in the oil and runs really rough it could be a leaking injector o-ring. Running that rich to the point it misfires and stumbles will definitely cause a low vac reading as well when flooding the motor. Possibly pull the rail w/ injectors up and turn the key on and see if you have any injector o-rings leaking.

Check your obvious vac leaks and stuff prior but seems to me could be flooding it out either because of that or an improper tune or big vac leak.
