Nissan Primera Dyno now sr16-cams...
Ok guys today was very nice ...I learn a lot about cam switch(on sr16 cams) and how this motor perform...
This dyno was with cams straight at 0 like the sr20ve cams..
Green line boost
Blue line back pressure.
This is almost exactly the same boost with the sr20ve cams...16lbs peak falling to 15.5 aprox
Dyno in 4gear rpm switch at 3200 rpm The sr16cams are SOLID 50WHP over the stock ones

Here its with 14lbs dyno on 3gear.

thats big power at 16lbs. I wonder what the dyno would look like with n1's.

Very very nice. I may be seeing a cam upgrade in my future. Soon hahaha. On 15psi I make only 350whp on my setup. I will be changing the manifold soon, but I will need to fix the turbo also. That is incredible power. So why are you not revving to 8000?

How did the power look after 7200? did it start to nose dive? Great job btw I like people like you

Isnt cams switch to early? Look at power fall at 3200rpm.

Anyway very good results. Keep it up.

Thanks for the responses...

I did not took the car to 8000 rpm becouse I think the for stock rods are ok only to rev to 7500... the build motor it will be finished soon .
back pressure its still under the boost , I think at 8000 rpm will be 1.1 at 16lbs...Did you guys notice that 2 lbs of boost net me almost 60whp? at 3200 rpm the cams did the better spool I did try from 2500 rpm to 5500 rpm and the best switch point was set at 3200-500 rpm, I think this cams will flatten the torque curve to 7500rpm I could do that but I played a lot with timing and that its why the peak at 6200 rpm aprox( I like this way becouse it give better reponce recover from shifts , since the sr16 box form 3gear falls to 5900-6000 rpm if a shift at 7500rpm)... you can see the dyno at 14lbs how flat the torque is...
I need some n1 and 20v cams ASAP who can get me 20v? how much power do you guys thinks the n1 intake manifold will give?? 10- 15whp peak?
A nice combo will be 20v intake cam and n1 exhaust opinions?
Thanks for reading...

Nice work! Your box wont last too long on that power!!

I personally think the N1 Intake manfiold will only be a gain if your going to 9,000RPM. I wil be switching to it eventually and i will be using the second bank of injector holes for my fuel rail mounting. I think it wil give better fuel delivery for 8,000rpm plus and resisting standoff.

i think 20v cams will get you spooling earlier. The extra air in from the 228 10.1 low cam and the 8.3 244 ex will spool the turbo wicked.

Would love to see results on the dyno with just 20v low in and vet low ex with some adj gears and a bit of time playing around with gears and timming. Just a low lobe run no high's. try and get power to peak as early as possible.

as for intake yeah i reckon around 10-15hp nothing huge.

you are a legend for your informative posts keep up the good work.

Dyno man strikes again. The 20V cams are next? I know you said you had more testing to do. Wow, 50WHP gain. Man that VE head really is something. That's like double with S4's do for the DE.

yeah its because his housing and turbine wheel can actually support the flow from a ve head with 16ve cams without choking it. This is proven by his back pressure printouts.
