No idea how feasable this would be, but what about cutting a section off the 6" round muffler and making it flat on the bottom? So instead of looking like an O it looks more like a D with the flat part of the D facing the ground to give better ground clearance. In theory it shouldn't be that hard to do. Just cut a section off with a band saw or some other form of device capable of making a straight cut, then welding up a new flat piece of metal to it.

Anyone else know how that might work out in real life?

But then you have to deal with the acoustics being altered. Don't forget about all the baffling that's in muffler, to make it one in the first place. Cutting that material out is bound to make it louder, or raspier, hell maybe even higher pitched!

Id guess it will still have 80% of it left. Im not saying cut it in half, just enough to get a bit of ground clearance back.

That site is down btw . But I don't think that would prevent it, with any exhaust hangers the exhaust will still shake a little. With this reso there is no room to shake at all haha.
