Thread: got some spray questions for the gurus ...

ive got a Sr20de roller rocker and i want to run spray for the first time but im nervous, it dynoed 151hp & 142lbs tq with these mods and id like to run a 50 shot to start, i was wondering if anyone had any tips , advice or knowledge of numbers i can expect with a zex 50shot kit ? and if anyone has a link to any videos of cars with similar mods maybe dynoing ?

160k on the motor

Get a GOOD wet kit, start with the 50 shot, fall in love with your car all over again, and move up from there.

jesus it was sarcasm, calm down, i even chuckled when i wrote it...sensitive much ? and that being said, it only takes about 30 seconds for forum members to flame my posts usually so i expected that it wouldn't take to long to get a response to a legit question

Any particular reason your choosing to run a Zex kit?

As far as how much you will gain on a 50, not sure about the sr yet as I havent put the devil sauce to one yet but typically on a 50 you will gain somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 ft lbs.

The TQ is what pushes you back in the seat and puts that goofy grin on your face!

I'm not sure what the Nawz gods on this site like to suggest but at the risk of pissing them all off (im really not trying to BTW!!) Zex kits suck! Worst solenoids ever made, I have personally seen 4 of my friends cars go down thanks to that magical POS purple box that Zex sells.

IMO, spend a few more bucks and go with an NX or NOS kit, your motor will thank you later.

A 50 shot on a de will have much more torque than a bolt on ve set up. With a 50 shot on stock cams plus hs gen 4 header and 2 and 1/4 exhaust, I went high 13's all day and dyno'd just under 200whp and 220 lb/ft. This was a long time ago in a b13 though. It will make a fun car for a while until you get bored and feed it more juice. You can go up to a 100 shot on stock block as long as everything i running right.
