B13 Highport to Lowport Questions
Well guys I need some help. I bought a 92 SE-R that needed a new motor(rod went thru the block) and picked up a low port SR. I thought it would be a simple swap but the shop is saying the harness and a few other things need to be adjusted. I have 2 questions.. would it be easier to just put the original head on the low port block? What needs to be done for the low port to run in the car? I'm on a tight budget so I need to figure out what route to go since it's impossible to find high port SR's in Central FL.

Damn you have a shop doing this for you? they are going nail you on labor- for the price might as well get a SR20VE-

There isn't much that needs adjusting. I did it with ease, and had no prior info on doing this swap. The main thing I remember was the injector harness was a pain to get in, but it went. I used the B13 harness. If they are a shop it should be a no brainer for them. There wasn't any cutting or splicing needed. Just a little clever harness routing, and some wire stretching.
