QG16DE vs SR20DE 70A gearbox
Small question.

I assume, and tell me if i´m wrong, if you have both ,a QG16de and sr20de 70A gearbox, and want the 4.4 final drive and longer fifth gear present on the QG16 gearbox on your SR20, you just swap the clutch side casing? Is that simple, or am i dreaming?

Thank you in advance guys

I know that the QG18 in the b15 sentras have the 4.1 final and is a direct swap over. The bell housing half is the only thing that will have to be swapped over from the sr20 70a. Not sure about the QG16 though. If is a 70 series box then it will swap over.

That´s nice to hear... i can get my hands on some QG16DE and also QG18DE, SR20DE is near impossible... it took me 2 years to find one in the old continent, and crossed several countrys to meet me.

I´ll be installing a Mfactory on a 70A hopefully with a 4.4FD.

Im just digging an old thread... so do you mean the FD of the QG16 will fit in to SR20? So it will create an SR20 4.4 FD?

If its 70A then it should work. I have full VLSD 70V QG18 trans and i think i can swap SR20 bellhousing and it should work.
