Gearstack binding up...
So I had a couple of my Honda buddies help me swap over the gears from a spare trans onto my Mfactory 4.7 unit. We assembled the trans, got it back in the car, and the car refused to move unless it was in neutral with the clutch in. I took it back out and looked it over. I noticed when the gear selector for 3rd and 4th is engaged, the gear stack refuses to budge. If it is in the middle, then the gears spin fine. Any ideas? Pulling my hair out over here.

Spins fine as pictured here:

Does not spin, feels as if its binding up as pictured below:

TIA!

I know the gearstack is also held further up which lines up the gears better but it still binded up even with the case fully assembled and in the car.

Does the case fit without any issues? The gears don't look like they are equal height

Yeah the case fits perfect which is weird. Also keep in mind, the lower sitting gearset gets pulled up a little and have the snap ring on top once the case is on which helps to make them equal.

Have you tried selection the gears with the case open?

Yup. When I select 3rd or 4th, the stacks bind up. If I leave the 3/4 selector neutral in the middle, the gearstacks/diff spin fine. If its in 1st or 2nd, the gears spin fine. Narrowed the issue down to 3/4/5. May just have to press them off and see.
