Hmm, I was under the impression chatter/chirping was audible that would accompany the physical things you described. Whenever I am a "off" in my shifting I hear the noise a bit too - now all my mounts are all urethane and in good shape, but I do notice the issue when moving a few feet from a stop or something. Car can shake significantly depending on how you work the clutch and throttle

i have 150 miles on mine an its not bad either.. i also think the flywheel plays a role in it, the flywheel lumpy has now an my flywheel look better then the one lumpy used first which did seem to chatter more.. we also rev match our down shifts, mine doesnt do it but lumpys makes a odd hooonk sound when down shifting without rev match, it did that with the other flywheel too tho.

agreed on the more gas ,get off clutch quicker, works great from a light to just go. I always rev match too.I just like to be able to modulate in traffic a little smoother. Its a lightweight flywheel, but all my sr20 cars have had them too..LOL

It does. I stalled it the first time I went drive it after I put it in last month, and I've been driving SR20s with relatively tough clutches with the Fidanza lightweight flywheels/underdrive crank pulleys for years. This is my first unsprung clutch though.

I can only hear chattering when I first start it up, pop the hood and get out and stand there at the engine bay, but once I close the hood and get back in the car, as soon as I push in the clutch and put it into 1st gear the sound is gone. I don't notice it much at all driving it either, but then again I also have a 3" full exhaust w/ no cat to a Magnaflow that at certain speeds & RPM combinations can be as loud as a jetliner passing just overhead. In a matter of # of decibels, I'm actually not exaggerating.

the shaking would resemble wheelhop or like maybe hitting big rumblestrips on the side of the road.Thats what I mean.

Oh ok yeah I gotcha now. That takes some getting used to. I went from a B15 OEM 2.0 disc to this CMFX500 disc. Quite a change! (and first unsprung disc ever)

Mine never chattered one bit. It's got a much smaller sweet spot in the pedal but you get used to it. I feather the gas a little when driving slowly.

If your dash/car is shaking on clutch engaugment in lower gears you might be looking at motor mount issues. Chatter should be noise only and have no effect on performance.
I have also seen this happen when axles/loose or wheel bearings are not seated correctly.

We are on the same track here for sure...
I do have a motor mount (dogbone) that needs some attention, but I have seen others delete it all together....which I would never do.
Also,an axle nut came loose on the trip home with the car,so there was some bearing play.I was actually lucky to get the car home before the axle nut came off.It was "eating" the cotterpin off due to lack of crown capnut.
I have since fixed up the axles and bearing situation.
I should have the mount taken care of soon too.
Thanks again everyone for the input.
