Speed Sensor (Manual Transmission)
How would i remove the speed sensor? i've tried twisting and pulling and nothing. tried look at FSM and other areas didnt find any info pertinent to removing it.

Excellant question. I've had them stuck too. After searching, I found some people said they had to remove the whole tranny case but here has got to be a better way.

Ive got one stuck now in a spare transmission.

there is a bolt that holds it in. i belive its a 10mm. after you remove the bolt it should wiggle right out.

I wish it was always that simple. I've got a 92 B13 tranny sitting on the garage floor I can't get it out of.

I was having the same issue with my buddys car today as well. It definitely wasn't moving

I've had 2 now where it seems to fuse with the trans almost as if it became welded to the trans over the years. I had to chizzle it out destroying the speed sensor on the process in my case.

Try to add some old brake oil and let it soak over night, thats how i removed it

the 91-91 is not a sensor, more like a gear that drives the cable to the cluster, though IIRC it still comes out the same way. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

i will try the brake fluid method if not the chisel method it is!
