So I kind of fell into the opportunity to scoop up a 5 spd from a 01sentra with a 1.8. My question is I plan to pick up mfactory helical lsd and I am wondering if I should grab one for this trans, or my 32v? Plans for the car will eventually be turbo but i would like to get the trans situated now. Would the gearing for the 70 be optimum for a turbo application? All input and direction is greatly appreciated. Side note I would like some opinions about fidanza flywheels, is it the better choice out there?

B13 or B14 32V would do you justice and would be the cheapest way to go. Might have to deal with an engine light but since you're going turbo it will pop up anyways.

I plan on picking up the trans either way, never hurts to have a spare. So i have both trannys, which is the better choice for gearing and longevity

So the 1.8 sentra trans will work with an sr20 ??? Or did I miss some thing?

From what i can tell through searching you just have to modify the clutch release arm from a 32 to fit in the 70. But someone more experienced can chime in

I know all about the cable conversion (converting to hydro is better FYI). My ? Is about the 1.8l sentra transmission working on an sr20. From what I know the bolt pattern on the 1.8 and 2.0 are not the same. Can one simply swap bell housings and have a better trans? I'm currently running a 6spd but this would be a great ungraded so those that don't have the 6spd budget.

Update I just google imaged the 1.8 vs 2.0 trans bolt pattern and they don't look interchangeable so if your picking up a 1.8 trans for your 2.0 do some more research.
