Thread: Need the run down on e-towns rules

I've been looking all over english town's website for exactly what is checked during tech inspection and i really couldn't find much information. I need specifics like running coolant vs water, having a 5pt harness without an ASM bar, battery relocated to the trunk, and specifics like that. I would be going on a test n tune day so i wouldn't be competing, just would like to have some fun and see what the car runs.

test and tune they are very lax with tech unless your car looks like its going to run serious then they will check more into it, but they mainly inspect seat belts helmet and fire jacket, they never checked my rear mount battery, never even popped my hood or trunk

as for events then they do a more detailed check, as far as i know and they go by nhra rules as per what morgan said

I do have a set of sparco seats and sparco 5 point harnesses installed. I do not have a ASM bar in the car so the strap that would go to the ASM is securely bolted down behind the back seat. Kinda hard to explain but a picture would do more justice. Not sure if they would let me run without the ASM bar...thats my only concern.

If the car is all motor, they are cool about it. If you have turbo/nitrous, then they will crack down on you. Snell 2005 helmet, fire jacket, all lug nuts, leaks, battery, etc.

They let me slip by 2 weeks ago with a snell 2000 helmet but said don't come back with it. He told me it must be a snell 2005 at the least for 13.99 or quicker.

Not exactly sure how fast it would run. Definetly faster than a 13.99. Guess i need to pickup a snell approved helmet before i even think about heading down there.

it can be to what year ? i can go get one at a motorcycle shop, like open face one as long as its snell approved ?
