Yes I lost!

But I dont care! Im extremly happy with what I did the other night. A guy said he has a race for me, as I'm all about having fun with the car I accepted without even knowing the car he had for me was a friggin R35 GT-R!!!! After drooling looking at the sweet sexy black GT-R on black wheels, I accepted, doesnt matter if I lose, because, there are only 2 of those in my country, and a race against one of my car hero's was an opportunity I cant refuse even if the guy kick my ass!!

So here I am on my little sentra, no fancy burnouts, no revving, just idling there, prepared for an ass kick from a car known as "the super car killer", as I was there I remember I was on my regular street tires (215-40-ZR16) and just smiled a little thinking how badly im going to lose "well, at least I am good at launching turbo FWD cars" I said lol. Here it comes, I have the R35 right besides me, I focus on at least have a descent launch, here we go!

Foot on the throttle, spark launch control triggers at 5000rpm and builds 4psi... Green light! I got better reaction YES! As I feather the throttle to actually MOVE and not make a rolling burnout, I see the GT-R right besides me (it was a 08, he had no launch control :bigthumbup

Shift into second! tires spin a little on half throttle, a little less throttle, and I feel the push to the seat from the grip YES!!, but the GT-R is now a car lenght in front of me 8000rpm SHIFT!!!

Into third! my laggy turbo gave me the grip I needed and from now on here we go, lets see who wins this power battle, I am catching UP!!! HOLY SH!T!! now he is half a car in front of me!! SPARK CUT at 8300RPM DAMN!!! SHIFT!!!

Into forth!! He is a little less than a car length in front of me, as my car revs and the big 6262 spools I am getting closer again!! 7000RPM, I AM CATCHING UP!! I start screaming inside of the car, my front bumper is right on the middle of his fender I can see the finish line really close 7500RPM BAAAM!!! WTF! NO POWER!! he got back to the half a car length in front of me, and we cross the finish line... I coast to the side of the track, the car shuts down... I already knew what was it, a damn intercooler coupler blew (sick of it BTW).

Here I am on the side of the track, parked, with my hands shaking after having the best race I ever had on my 7 years of drag racing my SE-R, as I see the lights of my friends car parking behind me to help me out: "Did you blow the engine" one asked... -"Naahh!" -"did you win!?" -"Naah! Lost by half a car", and then he said what stills makes me laugh! -"Well, godzilla might have not got beat but the snotty little ragamuffin did at least send him home with a bloody nose"

Awesome, what power level were you at? You had the SC6262SP on there? Sick run, with a Billet wheel FTW...

I have no idea, havent gone to the dyno yet. That was with the SC6262SP journal bearing on 16psi, pump gas.

About what does your SER weigh, and what are some of your best trap speeds?

Its my daily driver, B13 full weight, sunroof, nice stereo and no A/C (took it off cause the compressor got damaged and I didnt feel like fixing it) We have no chrismas three for the 1/4 mile here, my GPS recorded a top speed of 124mph for that run.

I raced one GTR that a 19 year old kid in town has. Its black and it was a 2010. Never thought i would run him but lets just say he got his butt kicked and i was on my 60trim turbo at 20psi, 461whp. He got the jump by 2-3 cars while I spun and then I flew by him in 4th and put a buslength on him through some of 5th. Closed road of course. Lets just say the kid was in shock. I had talked with him several times asking if he wanted to hang out with the nissan crew but he was kinda stuck up. But yeah lets just say he had a whole new outlook on my car after that beating. lol

Good job man. Yeah in our b13's if you can get at least decent traction you can take out the 2010 and earlier models with about 375-400whp

Yeah, its seems that with some traction (maybe drag radials at least) in 2nd and without blowing the damn pipes I could take it at the same 16psi..., Im just wasnt prepared cause I was having fun with my friends.

Either way, I dont think he is racing again... You know how it is... but at least now I know what my car can do when I up the boost a little. I really didnt expect to be around GT-R territory.
